Novak Djokovic’s wife Jelena was impressed as the Serb turned into a sorcerer, guiding a pack of wolves in the new promo for Six Kings Slam. Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune were also featured in the five-minute-long teaser.
The Six Kings Slam will be staged in Riyadh from October 16-19. The winner will take home $6 million.
The draw for the tournament is already out with Djokovic and Nadal already into the semifinals after being awarded a bye. Alcaraz will take on Rune while Sinner will square off against Medvedev. The winner of Alcaraz vs Rune will face the 22-time Grand Slam champion for a place in the final, while the winner of Medvedev vs Sinner will face the Serb.
An impressive and innovative teaser for the tournament was recently released, which shows the ATP stars in a never-seen-before look. Alcaraz stunned as a ‘robotic man’, battling robots, while the Italian’s look paid homage to renaissance artists. Holger Rune’s attire was inspired by a Viking warrior and Medvedev was the ‘king of bears’. Nadal took on his title of ‘King of Clay’ as he played tennis in the midst of a sandstorm. Meanwhile, the Serb was presented as the sorcerer, sitting in between a pack of wolves.
Jelena reacted to this trailer and wrote:
“Wow wow wow.”
Novak Djokovic: “I have no long-term plans”
Novak Djokovic revealed a lack of long-term plans during a press conference at the Bulgaria exhibition. The Serb said he only has a short-term schedule and is living in the moment.
“For the first time in my career, I have no long-term plans. I’m living for the moment and we’ll see what happens. Today I will play in Sofia, then in China, and then at a demonstration tournament in Saudi Arabia. After that, I don’t know. We’ll see how I feel and judge,” the Serb said (via TennisKafe).
The 24-time Grand Slam champion said he wants to spend time with his wife and children.
“Family life is very important to me. I want to be with my wife and children, to be a part of their everyday life – something I haven’t been able to do for many years. I have to balance things out, so we’ll see. I still want to chase titles and records, but at the same time I have to be sensible and prioritize certain tournaments over others,” he added.
Novak Djokovic was last seen competing professionally at the Davis Cup, as he helped Serbia reach the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers.
