For some reason, Arsenal fans think that Mikel Arteta gave Leandro Trossard a special sentence.
After getting two yellow cards, the winger was sent off against Manchester City on Sunday.
Trossard got his second yellow card when he kicked the ball away, which slowed down the start of the game.
The Gunners were ahead 2-1 near the end of the first half when Trossard was sent off.
On the other hand, they gave up an equaliser in the dying seconds of the second half, and the game finished 2-2.
Inside the locker room, Trossard is said to have told his teammates that he hadn’t heard the referee blow the whistle.
On the other hand, fans have said on social media that they think Arteta gave the Belgian a special punishment for being fired.
This week, the 29-year-old was seen going to training at the club’s London Colney base.
But Trossard was carrying two drink coolers instead of his teammates’ as he walked into the building.
Fans joked that he was made a waterboy as a punishment, even though it wasn’t clear if it was his choice.
Someone who liked Trossard wrote, “Is he on ice cooler duty because of his red card?” after seeing video of him arriving.
“Can’t believe the punishment is so funny,” said someone else.
After serving his one-game ban last week, Trossard will be able to play again this weekend.
He might play against Leicester on Saturday after missing the Carabao Cup win over Bolton.
The Gunners want to keep their perfect start to the season going. They are currently fourth in the table, two points behind winners City.
Trossard has played in all five of their league games, starting the last three. He scored against Aston Villa in August after coming off the bench.
