Fans will be amazed by Kai Havertz at the Euro 2024 later today, when Germany plays Switzerland. The Arsenal star will be in the team.
It made headlines when he allegedly agreed to a huge £65 million deal to move from Chelsea to Arsenal last summer. The 25-year-old German star’s move to Arsenal was made public too soon when a picture of him wearing the Gunners’ uniform went viral.
As Kai gets ready for the game at Frankfurt Arena, people aren’t just interested in how good he is at football; they’re also interested in his fiancée Sophia Weber. Even when things were hard, Kai has been honest about their life together. He told her, “Football is our life.” Of course, you don’t have an easy life if you lose a game.
“My girlfriend and I both have had some rough weeks over the last few weeks and months,” she said. I believe she is content now, and so am I. “For you guys, it’s the same if you have a bad day at work… you,” Kai said, knowing how fans feel. I’m not going to say it, but you don’t feel good. “There is a lot of pressure on us when we play football.”
Sophia is famous for more than just being Kai’s partner. She has over 400,000 fans on social media as a model and influencer. The childhood sweethearts’ relationship grew stronger in 2018, and in July 2023, they shared an emotional Instagram post announcing that they were getting married.
Last year, Kai was honest with The Guardian about how unstable his job is: “Everything moves quickly; the last few months are a good example.” Everybody is mad at me because I don’t score and play bad. This is bad, that is bad, they need to sell me. Everyone tells me I’m the best player now that I’ve scored.
“People love me now, but they might not like me in two weeks.” She wants me to put the plates in the dishwasher when I get home, no matter how well I played. Sophia is always in the stands and is still Kai’s biggest fan. Fans that go to games are used to seeing her there.
