Rookie left tackle Tyler Guyton already has his hands full in trying to learn on the run in his first NFL season. Now, he’ll be dealing with a knee injury as well.
But according to Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones, the rookie left tackle avoided any serious long-term injury he sustained Sunday night.
“Guyton was trying to play last night,” Jones said Monday on 105.3 ‘The Fan’ in Dallas. “I think he’s going to be day to day.”
Guyton was replaced by left guard Tyler Smith, who slid over to tackle. T.J. Bass filled in at left guard.
In other injury news, Jones commented on Marshawn Kneeland’s knee injury.
“We’ve got our fingers crossed that we get some news that it’s not (out) for the season. We’ll see.”
