BREAKING: Firesale Jaguars May Trade $72 Million Receiver to Ravens!

A firesale may happen for the 0-4 Jaguars where they could trade $72 million receiver, Christian Kirk to the Ravens this season.

The Jaguars may trade $72 million wide receiver, Christian Kirk to the Ravens this season. Davante Adams isn’t the only high-profile trade target that will be available near the deadline. It shouldn’t surprise anyone why the Jaguars would trade Kirk since they’re on the verge of going 0-5 this year. There will be plenty of losses including questions about the job security of head coach Doug Pederson and general manager Trent Baalke.

No one should expect them back if they can’t get a singular win even though they extended quarterback Trevor Lawrence who still has a lot of promise. This could lead the Jaguars to completely revamp this entire offense, but they’re looking to retain some of their core players. It isn’t possible if they want a new look and something to change about the culture of this roster. Kirk’s patience may be wearing thin so he could become open to moving on to a championship team that needs help.

One source believes the Chiefs could be fit after losing Marquise Brown and Rashee Rice in one season. However, that could be true but the Ravens could steal them from the defending champions. The wide receiver position may still be a mandatory position for them to fill since they’re probably one player away from being Super Bowl contenders. Kirk has 151 receptions for over 2,000 yards and 11 touchdowns in over two seasons.

He wouldn’t need to produce big numbers to make an impact on any roster that already has talent. Adams is better off landing with a roster that needs a receiver to carve out a full-time role. This leaves guys like DeAndre Hopkins and Diontae Johnson who may be available to significantly boost any roster.

Baltimore a Better Fit?

The Ravens could use this opportunity to get the upper advantage over Kansas City. It will likely come down to the Chiefs and Ravens in the AFC Championship game this season so both teams must act fast. The Chiefs are already at a disadvantage with not only their receiving corps but their running back situation. They may be 4-0 but that could all change soon this month if they don’t make any roster trades.

Meanwhile, the Ravens look like a firepower team and getting better each week. Zay Flowers is upping his game while Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor still have a few inconsistency issues. Kirk could make an immediate impact for Baltimore down the stretch and they’re not dealing with plenty of injuries in comparison to Kansas City. Adding a standout receiver could propel the Ravens toward the Super Bowl so someone like Kirk might be vital without compromising their cap space.

Other Potential Trade Destinations

New Orleans Saints

The Saints are probably one wide receiver move away from being a legitimate playoff contender. They probably won’t add a superstar wideout but someone to carve out a role to catch a few balls. After releasing A.T. Perry, it makes it too obvious they will become buyers to help Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. Derek Carr may want Davante Adams but Kirk is still a viable option to carve out a name for himself to push this team to the playoffs.

Los Angeles Chargers

Offensive line injuries have been hurting the Jim Harbaugh run game philosophy he instilled in this team. Harbaugh must understand that Justin Herbert thrives when he thrives the football and he won’t be able to do that. Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer look like temporary options who could be put on the trade block as well. Adding someone like Kirk would become a no-brainer trade decision for a team looking for a consistent receiver other than rookie Ladd McConkey.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have a somewhat decent offense after favoring Andy Dalton over Bryce Young. There may be a new regime shift since no one should expect much from Dalton as a bridge quarterback. Xavier Legette is the future but they need a new weapon to work with while Adam Thielen is on IR. Diontae Johnson will probably be out the door by week nine.

This leaves an open spot for weapons to come in to give receivers new life. The Panthers have yet to see what Johnathan Mingo has to prove so the offense isn’t getting any younger. Carolina should take a risk at Kirk who could get the job done as a newer younger Thielen.
