Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott didn’t exactly have the best start to this NFL season. His recent performance has yet to match the $240 million contract extension he signed with the franchise that makes him the highest-paid quarterback of all time.

Prescott recently talked with reporters about the team’s slow start to the season and whether he’s been playing his best football yet. He said he’s playing a “solid” game so far, but feels his best is yet to come.

“I’m playing solid football. I think if you broke down all four games, there’s a play or two, a couple of plays within that I want back,” said Prescott. “I can tell you my best is damn sure, I’m on the brink of it. I feel like I’m stepping into that. … It’s damn sure coming.”

The Cowboys are currently 2-2 after the first four weeks of this season, one loss of which came after the New Orleans Saints dominated them 44-19. They will next face the 3-1 Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.

The next game will probably be tough for the Cowboys as they will head into the game without their reliable offensive powerhouses, linebacker Micah Parsons, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, and wide receiver Brandin Cooks. All three are nursing injuries and will be out of the game against the Steelers.

Despite the three’s absence, Dak Prescott seems to be optimistic about the game. “”(A 2-2 record) is not acceptable for us. It’s about finding a way to win, starting this Sunday, and moving forward one game at a time,” he said.

Dak Prescott debuts in Marvel movie teaser

Dak Prescott recently debuted in a teaser for the Marvel movie “Venom: The Last Dance,” starring Tom Hardy. In the promo video, Prescott and Hardy’s character Eddie Brock (and Venom) can be seen getting lost in the desert, trying to find their way to the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium.

The trio find a horse along the way, and Venom says, “Giddy up, cowboy!” suggesting that they take the horse to the stadium. Dak Prescott retorts, “I’m not that kind of cowboy.” Eddie then asks how fast the horse can get them to the stadium, to which Prescott says, “This is not in my new contract,” referring to the contract extension he recently signed with the Cowboys. Venom then proceeds to possess the horse and forces Prescott to a ride.

“Venom: The Last Dance” premieres on October 5 in cinemas, a day before the Cowboys-Steelers game.
