The Kansas City Chiefs are 4-0 this season, but things haven’t been perfect for the two-time defending champions.
The Chiefs attempted to bolster their wide receiver room this season, only for Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice to suffer what appear to be long-term injuries.
Rice’s injury occurred in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers, but another member of his family is under scrutiny after allegedly stealing a package from her neighbor.
Doorbell camera footage from TMZ shows a woman who appears to be Rice’s mother, Marsha Kearney, attempting to move a package out of view before picking it up.
The neighbor says that the package contained two limited edition Chappell Roan vinyl records, and that she has tried to get her package from Kearney, Rice and the apartment building to no avail.
TMZ says that a report has been made regarding the theft of the items on Wednesday.
The woman in the video is wearing a Chiefs jersey featuring the name “Momma Rice,” and the footage was taken just hours after the Chiefs’ win over the Chargers on Sunday.
This latest issue for Rice comes after his arrest over the summer, when he and others caused an accident in Texas while racing. The wide receiver, in his second NFL season, was also accused of assault by a photographer who ultimately declined to press charges.
