If there is one thing Jerry Jones knows how to do, it is get attention and generate headlines.
During the Dallas Cowboys’ practice on Wednesday, October 2, the team owner and general manager did exactly that by making a grand entrance at The Star in Frisco, Texas, for the early session.
Jerry pulled up to the team facility in a helicopter and landed right on the turf field as everyone looked on in awe.
Jones was all smiles after exiting the helicopter and was greeted with a fist bump from star quarterback Dak Prescott.
For as flashy as Jerry likes to be, it’s a surprise he isn’t interested in adding a shiny new weapon like Davante Adams to the offense via trade.
Dallas is currently preparing to face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5 on Sunday Night Football.
The Cowboys and Steelers are set to kick off at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday, October 6, at 8:1520 p.m. ET NBC, with live streaming on Peacock.

Even if Jones had never admitted it, he had been under pressure for quite some time, which elevated him to a whole new level during the latest off-season. The inability of the Cowboys’ front office to splurge cash on elite players made fans angry.
Not only did Jones pay big money to Prescott, whom many Cowboys fans would be happy to see out of the team, but he refused to pay NFL Offensive Player of the Year recipient Derrick Henry, his desired salary. Henry wanted to play for the Cowboys but instead joined the Ravens and recorded 151 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Ravens’ week 3 win.
Fans accused Jones of sabotaging the Cowboys for his personal gains outside of football.

Todd Archer interviewed the Cowboys’ newest addition, KJ Henry, from the Cincinnati Bengals as a precaution against any long-term injury to pass rusher Micah Parsons. It was Henry’s first practice session with the Cowboys, and he witnessed something he had never experienced before.
Immediately I was asking the guys, ‘Is this like an everyday thing?’ Like, I mean, this is real Dallas-like. I mean, the helicopter right through warmups. So that was cool. That’s how some of the head coaches used to recruit back in high school and bring a helicopter to the field. That was a little different.

Henry might experience several sides of Jerry Jones if he sticks around in Dallas long enough.
For now, they should focus on building on their week 4 win over the New York Giants. Up next, they will face the 3-1 Pittsburgh Steelers.
