Travis Kelce Receives Enthusiastic Praise from Fans in Exclusive First Clip of His Grotesquerie Acting Debut: “Oozes Charisma.”

Travis Kelce‘s first appearance in Grotesquerie hits screens on Wednesday night and judging by the preview clip he shared on New Heights, the Super Bowl winner is a solid fit in the acting world.

Kelce plays Ed Lachlan in the show, a horror series about a detective and a nun investigating crimes that have hit a small village.

And ahead of his debut in this week’s episode, Kelce shared an exclusive clip on his podcast that he co-hosts with older brother Jason, who led the praise after watching him playing the role for the first time.

‘Not gonna lie, you killed it right there,’ Jason said.

Travis, meanwhile, felt uncomfortable seeing himself back on television and said to his brother: ‘I can’t watch it, I can’t even listen to it. You’re full of s***’.

But fans were in agreement with Jason as the clip went viral across social media.

‘He just oozes charisma. The man has so many skills and he’s so humble too what a guy,’ one fan said.

Another wrote: ‘He looks great and did a great job!! It definitely translates better on screen.

‘Listened to the pod this morning and sounded a little cringey lol but makes more sense now watching it.’

A different response read: ‘He’s too good. I love it. He need to be less humble about it.’

The Kansas City Chiefs star said earlier this year that he felt like ‘an amateur’ on the set for the series, which has been written by Glee Co-creator Ryan Murphy.

Speaking back in May, he said: ‘It’s been so much fun. I feel like a jabroni, I feel like an amateur, but I haven’t gotten fired yet.

‘They haven’t told me to f**king kick rocks after the first week. Everybody’s just been so helpful in making me feel comfortable and giving me the direction I need and the coaching I need to portray this part.’

As for Murphy’s influence, Kelce said: ‘I can’t thank him enough for this opportunity. I’m sure there’s actors out there that would die for an opportunity to work with Ryan, and I’m getting it in my first gig ever.

‘He seemed very confident that I’d be able to do this and he injected that [belief] in me the first conversation we had.’

Kelce has made no secret of his desire to pursue acting opportunities outside of and after his football career.

He is set for a cameo appearance in Happy Gilmore 2 and is also hosting a quiz show – Are You Smarter than a Celebrity – that is set to launch later this month.

As for the football, Kelce plays next on Monday night when the Chiefs host New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium. It will be the first time Jason calls a game his brother is playing in since joining Monday Night Football with ESPN.
