While the Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated heading into Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints, quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ offense is heavily banged up.
After running back Isiah Pacheco hit injured reserve with a broken fibula, Mahomes will be without his No. 1 wide receiver, Rashee Rice, for the foreseeable future as doctors figure out the severity of his knee injury.
The Chiefs brought back a few familiar faces amid the slew of injuries, including running back Kareem Hunt and tight end Jody Fortson. As of Oct. 2, the Chiefs only have 52 players on the active roster, which means there’s an open spot available.
On Wednesday, Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, posted a video of her workout session on Instagram, which included the wife of former Chiefs tight end Blake Bell, who remains a free agent.

Lyndsay grew incredibly close with Brittany during her husband’s tenure in Kansas City. Bell, a 2015 fourth-rounder, first signed with the Chiefs in 2019. After spending a year with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020, he returned to Kansas City in 2021.
The Chiefs re-signed the “The Belldozer” to a one-year, veteran’s minimum deal in 2023, during which he won his third Super Bowl ring with the team. However, Kansas City appeared to move on from the nine-year NFL veteran after signing tight end Irv Smith Jr. in free agency. However Smith failed to make the final roster and moved on to sign with the Houston Texans.
While it’s unknown if Bell, who was a locker room favorite, has any plans to play this season, or if Kansas City has interest in bringing back the pass-blocking tight end, fans missed seeing Lyndsay at games, who became close with Taylor Swift last season.
One fan posted in July, “Aww I know this pic is supposed to be silly, this makes me sad that we probably won’t see Lyndsay with the Tay WAG squad since Blake Bell isn’t on the team anymore. This year’s departures hurt more than most.”
Perhaps, Lyndsay will join Brittany at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs’ upcoming Monday Night Football matchup. Swift is also expected attend the Chiefs-Saints showdown on Oct. 7
