The owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones, certainly doesn’t get a lot of love from NFL fans who observe how he runs his team. However, some of his actions this season have garnered some extra attention.
On Wednesday, during the Cowboys practice, Jones was videoed flying onto the field in his helicopter.
Of course, if you know anything about Jerry, this wouldn’t even seem like a big deal.
However, this comes after Jones was criticized for not signing running back Derrick Henry, who had serious interest in joining the Cowboys. He then chalked it up to the team not being able to afford him.
“We couldn’t afford Derrick Henry,” Jones said, per Pro Football Talk. “I don’t know. Why can’t you buy a mansion when you live in a different kind of house We couldn’t afford it. We can’t make that all fit. That’s as simple as that.”
“buddy could have gotten derrick henry if it wasn’t for all these unnecessary helicopter trips,” said one comment.
“Yet Jerry can’t “afford” good players,” said another.
“No wonder he’s cheap in free agency spends all his dough on fuel,” joked a third.
