LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, who were once embroiled in a public feud, are reportedly planning to enjoy double dates with their partners, Travis Kelce and Orlando Bloom.
A source close to the situation shared with Life & Style that the two power couples are keen to bond over shared experiences.
“Now that Travis and Taylor have their sights set on conquering Hollywood, cozying up to Katy and Orlando makes a lot of sense,” the insider noted.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce keen on double dating with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
As Orlando Bloom, 47, has a wealth of industry experience, he could serve as a mentor to Travis Kelce, 34, who is increasingly looking to branch out into acting and other ventures beyond football.
“Orlando’s got decades of experience in the business and lots of great contacts, and on the flip side, Orlando’s a huge sports fan and loves the idea of going to games and hanging out with the squad,” the source explained.
For Swift, 34, this phase of her life is about forging closer connections with “couple friends” like Perry, 39, and Bloom. The source emphasized that while Taylor will continue to cherish her single friends, she is leaning into the idea of double dates.
“She isn’t going to ditch her single friends, but she’s definitely more focused on doing double dates, so Katy and Orlando fit the bill,” the insider noted.
The relationship between Swift and Perry has evolved significantly since their earlier disputes in the music industry. Their feud, which surfaced in 2014, was rooted in insinuations made in Swift’s song ‘Bad Blood’
However, the two reconciled in 2018, with Katy sending Taylor an olive branch as a peace offering. They’ve since publicly supported each other, notably with Perry appearing in Swift’s ‘You Need to Calm Down’ music video in 2019.
According to the source, Taylor views Katy as a role model, admiring her ability to balance a successful career and personal life.
“Taylor looks up to Katy as a woman who’s managed to have it all, so she does see her as someone who can offer guidance,” the insider explained.
