Dwyane Wade has maintained his fitness even after retiring from the NBA and the former Miami Heat star remains one of the hottest NBA faces in the fashion industry. In a series of photos he posted on September 27, the Heat legend showed his chest tattoo.
In the images, Wade wore a head scarf and black jeans, showcasing his upper body and the tattoos on his chest.
On his right chest, Wade showed the tattoo with the pictures of all the jerseys that he wore during his college career, in the NBA and for the Team USA, along with the name “Billi” inked on the left.
In another picture that Wade posted, he was wearing a matching black shirt with the top few buttons unhooked, while the tattoo on his right chest could still be seen.
Dwayne Wade has a series of tattoos on his body, each holding special significance in his life. According to People, earlier in November 2022, Dwyane Wade got his wife Gabrielle Union’s initials tattooed on his body. The three-time NBA champion has also a tattoo of his daughter Kaavia James on his shoulder when she was born.
All of Dwyane Wade’s tattoos and their meaning
The first ever tattoo that Dwyane Wade got was the name of his daughter, Kaavia James. He decided to get her name inked in 2018, shortly after her birth with his wife, Gabrielle Union. According to Heat Nation, Wade made the decision when he was in China the same year.
He got his second tattoo the following year when he retired from the NBA. Wade chose to get his favorite quote, “My belief is stronger than your doubt” inked on his left thigh. He also got tattoos representing the street and he grew up in Chicago.
In 2020, Dwayne Wade revealed another tattoo located just below his left thigh, extending across his knee. The tattoo features his branding logo, “Way of Wade.”
His jersey tattoos on his chest are perhaps the biggest in terms of surface area, symbolizing his legendary basketball career.
Even though Dwayne Wade has retired from the league, he has kept himself fit. The former Miami Heat star has appeared for many fashion brands as a model and also collaborated with big names in the fashion industry.
