Many thought that news would stop coming out between Brandon Aiyuk and the San Francisco 49ers when the wide receiver signed his massive new deal with the team. However, just four weeks into the season, those thoughts have been proven wrong.

During the team’s practice on Friday, a video shows head coach Kyle Shanahan asking Aiyuk to change his shorts because they were the wrong color.

After a minute-long conversation going back and forth, Aiyuk is shown taking his shoes off before pulling down his pants and trying to fling them across the field in what can only be described as a full-blown tantrum.

For a few seconds, the wide receiver stood in his underwear on the practice field until he finally put on the correct shorts.

It was a bizarre situation that could later prove that Aiyuk and the 49ers organization still had some tension after the star receiver held out for a lot of training camp.

It also doesn’t help that after signing Aiyuk to his four-year $120 million deal, he has had what can only be described as a very poor start to the season and has not lived up to the money.

Brandon Aiyuk Is Having A Slow Start To 2024

Aiyuk has appeared in all three games for the 49ers this season but has yet to make a significant impact.

During the season, he only has 11 receptions on 20 targets, 119 yards, and zero touchdowns. His best game came in Week 3 against the Rams, where he reeled in five catches for 48 yards.

With many of the San Francisco offense dealing with injuries, such as Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Deebo Samuel, it was expected that Aiyuk would become a key player in helping them win.
