BREAKING: Accorcing to sources, Cowboys All-Pro Micah Parsons did, in fact, suffer a high-ankle sprain in last night’s win over the Giants.
Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher Micah Parsons suffered a high ankle sprain in the Cowboys’ 20-15 win over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football, according to multiple reports and first reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Parsons’ status moving forward is yet to be determined.
However, the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Cowboys in just nine days. That is a hard turnaround to ask anyone to play on a high ankle sprain, especially a pass rusher who relies so much on explosiveness and change of direction from play to play.

Parsons is not the only player that could miss the Steelers’ Week 5 clash with the Cowboys. Another star pass rusher, DeMarcus Lawrence, will likely miss the game with a foot injury. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network hinted that both Lawrence and Parsons could be out until after the Cowboys’ Week 7 bye, which would rule them out for the Sunday Night Football matchup at Acrisure Stadium in over a week.
The Cowboys will rest up and start game-planning for the Steelers while Pittsburgh will head to Indianapolis on Sunday and play the Colts at 1 p.m.
