The Kansas City Chiefs are off to a regular start this year, going 3-0 against three solid teams, and while they are winning each of these games Mahomes himself has been underperforming by his standards. For some reason, this has led to one analyst and former quarterback leaving Mahomes off his top 5 list of quarterbacks.

All that shows, is that the people at ESPN truly have no idea what they are talking about.

Former quarterback and ‘analyst’ Dan Orlovsky revealed that he knows nothing about football on Thursday. The Chiefs are looking to make history by winning their third straight Super Bowl, and so far, they are off to a great start. In fact, no team around the NFL can confidently think they will beat the Chiefs when it matters.

Apparently, the history of Mahomes and the fact that his team is 3-0 to start the year has not proven that he is a top-five quarterback in the league right now. Just wait on who Orlovsky has put over Mahomes in his rankings.

The days of ESPN giving real football takes are long over.

No disrespect to any of the gentlemen that Orlovsky mentioned in his top five, but Geno Smith?! Kyler Murray?! what are we talking about on ESPN? While Josh Allen is certainly playing the best of anyone in the NFL right now, even placing him over Mahomes is blasphemy.

There is no justification for this list whatsoever, and it really highlights the state of affairs in the NFL media. Of course, Chiefs fans and NFL fans at large let him have it for this absurd take, but that is probably what he wanted.
