Stephen A. Smith believes Dallas Cowboys can become a Super Bowl contending team under Bill Belichick in 2025.

Prominent NFL analyst and broadcaster Stephen A. Smith implored Bill Belichick as the potential candidate to revitalize the Dallas Cowboys’ Super Bowl fortunes. The Cowboys have lost two straight home games to start 1-2 to the new season.
After a solid win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, the New Orleans Saints left them bamboozled in Dallas. The Saints humiliated the Cowboys as the issues in defense and even offense started to visibly appear.
In the second home game against the Baltimore Ravens, they started poorly, however; the Cowboys were able to save some face with a 19-point final quarter. Nevertheless, even that wasn’t enough to win the game.
The Cowboys, touted as a strong contender to stop the Kansas City Chiefs from pursuing a historic three-peat, are now third in their division behind Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles. They are saved from a fourth finish only because the New York Giants are way worse than the Cowboys are (so far).
The Jerry Jones management is partly responsible for this downward spiral of the team. The off-season was very lazy at best. Although they signed contract extensions spending millions on star players, the roster building was poor. The offensive line plays on undeveloped rookies with only one free-agency signing in the off-season.
Considering the rumors of changing their HC Mike McCarthy, Smith believes bringing in Bill Belichick could change the game for the Cowboys, given he’s tired of trolling them. Earlier, the ex-New England Patriots coach made a statement on how the Cowboys have the depth to change their fate.
Let him [Bill Belichick] coach the team. And let me tell you something right now, you’re gonna have a bunch of brothers far more focused and prepared than they are right now. You do that and the Dallas Cowboys are challenging for the Super Bowl championship next year.Stephen Smith said via First Take

Bill Belichick is also associated with the Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars is one among the three teams with a 0-3 start to the season. Doug Pederson, who coached the Eagles before, hasn’t seen such a terrible start ever in his NFL coaching career. The Jaguars had a fairly decent start last year but fumbled in the end to 9-8 and missed out on a postseason.
Jerry Jones won’t be the only one looking at Belichick heading into the 2025 season. Pakistani-American businessman Shahid Khan would pose a problem to Jones’ wishes. Jaguars, who are in a more troubled condition, might be a bigger potential place where football fans could see Belichick in action.
Tony Khan, son of Shahid Khan, has developed a good relationship with Belichick. In 2017, Doug Marrone was hired by the Jaguars full-time solely on Belichick’s word. Although Stephen A. Smith and Jones would love the 6-time Super Bowl-winning coach to be in Dallas, Florida is more sunnier as of now.
