The 24-time Grand Slam champion joined Team Serbia for the upcoming World Group 1 match against Team Greece at the 2024 Davis Cup. In his opening match against Ioannis Xilas, Djokovic cruised to a comfortable 6-0, 6-1 victory.
The Serb will next team up with Hamad Medjedovic to face Demetris Azoides and Petros Tsitsipas in the doubles match on September 15. Following that, he is also slated to take on Aristotelis Thano in his second singles encounter.
Recently, the World No. 4 showed off his dance moves while exercising. He hilariously shook his leg while on a treadmill, a video of which he shared on his Instagram story.

The Serb appears to have put his surprising third-round loss at the 2024 US Open to Alexei Popyrin behind him. He began the tournament with a convincing straight-sets win over Radu Albot and advanced to the third round when Laslo Djere retired during the second set.
Novak Djokovic bemoans not being able to find his game and ‘big struggle mentally’ for his shock loss at the 2024 US Open
During the post-match press conference, Novak Djokovic admitted that he faced mental challenges during his 2024 US Open campaign. He further explained that he was not performing at his peak level and struggled to find his rhythm.
“It was just really a big struggle mentally for me to play these three matches here, because I wasn’t playing even close to my best. So, you know, it’s not good to be in that kind of state where you feel okay physically, and of course you’re motivated because it’s a Grand Slam, but you just are not able to find your game,” he said.
Djokovic also suggested that the altered schedule due to the Olympics might have played a role in his defeat.
“You could argue that it’s because of the Olympics, but I don’t know. I don’t want to analyze that right now. You know, I was just looking to really improve my game here on a daily basis, but it just didn’t happen,” he added.
The 37-year-old will take part in an exhibition match in Argentina in December 2024 as a farewell to Juan Martin del Potro.
