“Money Doesn’t Mean Anything”: Millionaire Dak Prescott Rejects $240M Value for Daughter MJ’s Priceless Reactions

For Dak Prescott’s personality has always been about more than just being an NFL superstar. Last year we saw him get emotional as he said he would like to be remembered as “a man my mom would be proud of”. Then earlier this year we saw him help raise $2.6 million at the Children’s Cancer Fund gala. Prescott has his priorities straight and his new historic deal with the Cowboys hasn’t changed anything.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback was in Cleveland when he got the generational contract extension on September 8. His new four-year $240 million deal with $231 million in guaranteed money, made him the highest-paid player in NFL history. Yet when showed up on his brother’s podcast, he couldn’t help but talk about her daughter as impacted his life in a big way.

The conversation with his brother on the I Am Athlete podcast showed us another heartwarming side of Prescott. Tad asked him “Has anything changed for you in the past year?” ever since he was braced for the presence of a daughter.

“You do it for your family, I’ve always done it for you guys and continued to do that,” said Prescott. “But being able to see that face when I wake up, being able to put her at bed at times, just puts it all in perspective. The money doesn’t mean sh—t when you see that smile. It’s about putting a smile on her face, keeping her happy. If anything, the money just secures that I would be able to leave her generational wealth,” Prescott said.

Prescott’s daughter was born on 29 February and her full name is Margaret Jane Rose Prescott or MJ Rose Prescott. There is a connection here as well, as Prescott’s grandmother, who passed away in 2021, was named Margaret. “Baby MJ” was how the NFL player introduced his daughter to the world on March 3. At that time, Prescott shed light on how her daughter has had a positive effect on him.

“Yeah I feel different, especially wake up in the morning, you see that baby and understand the responsibilities Everything that I’ve always wanted for myself, but to want that for somebody else even more,” he said.

With the historic deal with the Cowboys, America’s Team is hoping it is a step in the right direction as they look to end their long wait for a Super Bowl. While Prescott will be determined to help them end that barren run, his family is a priority for him.

In the past, Prescott has mentioned how he plays to make both his late mother, whom he lost to cancer in 2013 and his late brother proud. “I’m fortunate as hell to be able to do that and to give her I guess you can say an alley-oop into her life and whatever she may do and so that’s that’s my responsibility. That’s my biggest responsibility. Obviously, leading the Cowboys and this organization but before any of that it’s raising that little girl and making sure that my family is happy secure and safe,” Prescott underlined in the podcast with his brother.

The 3x Pro Bowler has pointed out time and again that whatever he does, doesn’t come out of his greed for money. Remember the time when the media pestered him about updates on his contract in May? “I don’t play for money. Never have never cared for it, to be honest with you,” was his answer. Those were his sentiments when he said that he does it for the love of the game.

Even beyond his family, Prescott has shown his compassionate side back in June. Prescott co-chairs the Children’s Cancer Fund gala, with Cowboys’ legend Troy Aikman, and in a recent event in May, they helped raise $2.6 million. Then Prescott presented a $2.1 million donation to Children’s Health from the money raised at the gala.

But coming back to Prescott’s daughter, MJ, let’s further explore what Prescott’s life is like with this new bundle of joy that he’s blessed with.

Dak Prescott is loving life as a father

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback spent quality time with his girlfriend, Sarah Jane Ramos, and their daughter MJ Rose on a vacation during the offseason in July. Sharing the moments they spent on the holiday on Instagram, Prescott posted quite a few pics of him having a great time relaxing with his family.

Prescott and his wife also shared her photos when they first shared a glimpse of her to the world on 15 March. Five photos showed the couple with their newborn and there was a photo of Prescott holding MJ Rose in the hospital.

Another picture in the slide shows Prescott and Sarah standing next to a board that says, “Margaret Jane Rose Prescott, February 22, 2024, 8lbs. 10 oz,” with a cute cut out of a stork next to the family.

In the interview earlier, Prescott mentioned how MJ is growing up and showing her personality with each passing day. It won’t be long before she can recognize her dad playing football on prime time television.
