Travis Kelce arrived in Atlanta in an all-black, coded tour outfit before the Chiefs-Falcons game. Is Taylor Swift in the game?..

Travis Kelce’s latest style choice left fans divided as his team prepared to play its third game of the 2024 NFL season.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was filmed disembarking from an airplane on Saturday, Sept. 21, in Atlanta, Ga. The Chiefs are scheduled to play the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 22.

The Chiefs’ official social media accounts often share players’ pre-game and game day outfits online to hype fans up for the gameplay ahead. But when the team’s accounts on Instagram and X, formerly Twitter, did so for Kelce on Saturday, fans couldn’t help but raise questions about his footwear choice for the occasion.

The NFL star was dressed in all black as he walked off the plane, a look he paired with a matching black hat and a serious expression. While many of his teammates wore sneakers as they disembarked, Kelce, 34, wore a pair of slip-on black shoes without socks. Fans who commented on the video online couldn’t figure out if the shoes were slippers or loafers—but either way, they weren’t sold on the look.

“Slippers?” one Instagram user questioned as another echoed, “Wait is he wearing slippers?”

“His shoes 😮😮 😶😂🙃🙃,” another Instagram user commented.

“Travis – never wear those ugly shoes again,” one fan instructed.

“Idk bout those slippers, Trav. But if you’re happy I guess that’s all that matters,” one X user wrote as another tweeted, “please explain why travis has no sneakers, like why is he wearing loafers???”

“Good, he means business….without socks?” another fan pointed out.

“Where’s your socks?” another X user asked before referencing Kelce’s pop superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift, writing, “I think TayTay needs to remind you to wear socks. LOL!”

Questionable fashion aside, the Chiefs haven’t yet lost a game during the new season, which the team kicked off with a game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5. After Sunday’s game, Kelce and his teammates are next scheduled to play the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 29, at SoFi Stadium in California.
