LeBron James Saw Stephen Curry’s ‘Onslaught’ Coming at Paris Olympics

LeBron James has teased the idea of joining teams with Stephen Curry. The Los Angeles Lakers star is no stranger to getting what he wants. However, the two superstars haven’t combined for a formidable superteam for an undisclosed reason. Yet, the Paris Olympics gave the world a glimpse of what’s possible when the best shooter of all time and arguably the best player joined forces.

The Lakers superstar spent his precious time on the GoJoandGolic show, and ultimately, the conversation led to the Golden State Warriors star.

United States shooting guard Stephen Curry (4) and guard LeBron James (6) celebrate after defeating France in the men's basketball gold medal game during the Paris 2024 Olympic Summer Games at Accor Arena.

“I knew the onslaught was [going to] happen… Steph did what [he] did… Hitting those big-time shots & putting everybody to sleep,” James said. “It was an unbelievable moment, & I was happy to be alongside of him.”

If you only watched the last two Team USA games, Curry would appear to be the MVP of the team and the entire Olympics. However, it was a rather slow burn leading to the final two matches. On the other hand, James saw it coming, as he’s experienced the brunt of Curry’s wrath in multiple NBA Finals losses.

Curry exploded for 60 points in the Olympic semifinal against Serbia and the gold medal game vs. France. Curry recorded eight 3-point shots vs. the Spurs, including a ridiculously difficult conversion over Victor Wembanyama. Furthermore, Curry kept Team USA from being destroyed by Serbia, scoring 17 points in the first quarter.

During the slow content season of September, James-to-Warriors trade proposals have occurred throughout various publications, whether written or video.

However, if James never gets the privilege of playing on the same NBA team as Curry, he can always cherish the 2024 Paris Olympics.
