The Baltimore Ravens have had a disappointing start to the 2024 season, losing one-score games to the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders. Despite having a 0-2 record, there is a lot of football left, 15 more regular season games, to be exact. The Ravens will try to get back on track this week as they travel to AT&T Stadium to play against the 1-1 Dallas Cowboys.

The Ravens’ offense has passed the ball more through two games. Although they have dropped back to pass more, their rushing attack is still effective, thanks to 2x MVP quarterbackLamar Jackson and his 167 rushing yards. They are ranked seventh in rushing with 336 rushing yards. Even though it’s still early in the season, their former fourth-round pick has played more than their free-agent acquisition.Advertisement

So far, Justice Hill has played more snaps than Derrick Henry despite Henry’s durability and leading the NFL in carries in four of his eight years with the Titans, including the last two seasons. Hill has played 78 snaps compared to Henry’s 67. A possible reason for Hill having more reps is his ability as a pass catcher, hence his eight receptions on ten targets for 62 yards. It’s still early in the season, and they might want to keep Henry fresh until later in the season.

Hill, on the other hand, is part of their plans for the future.

Justice Hill was in the final year of his 2-year, $4.51 million contract he signed in 2023 and would have been a free agent after the season. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Hill signed a two-year, $6 million extension. He will be an unrestricted free agent in 2027.
