But that’s not the only Kelce connection in the new holiday movie…
Donna Kelce doesn’t play favorites — and that rule isn’t exclusive to football.
The mom of NFL pros Jason and Travis Kelce is appearing in Hallmark Channel’s upcoming Kansas City-set Christmas movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, in support of Travis’ team — but PEOPLE can exclusively reveal she’ll also appear in a movie set in Philadelphia, where Jason used to play as a center for the Eagles.
Donna, 71, will make a special appearance in Christmas on Call, which, according to the network’s official logline, centers around “the lives of first responders in Philadelphia” who “intersect over the holiday season while juggling work, personal lives, and their dedication to protect and serve their city.”
Ser’Darius Blain plays Wes, an EMT and devout Eagles fan who helps a new ER doctor named Hannah (Sara Canning) find her way around the city. Of course, no tour of Philly is complete without a cheesesteak, and their stop at a popular Philly cheesesteak spot leads them to meet Donna.
As you can see in the exclusive photo above, Mama Kelce is decked out in an Eagles jersey. She makes sure Hannah orders her cheesesteak the authentic way: “whiz wit.”
But that’s not the only Kelce connection in Christmas on Call.
The movie, which will premiere as part of the network’s 15th annual Countdown to Christmas, also features a new song by The Philly Specials, a group comprised of Eagles players Jordan Mailata, Lane Johnson and, yep, their newly retired teammate Jason Kelce.
The track, “Santa Drives an Astrovan,” features Mt. Joy and is from the group’s upcoming album A Philly Special Christmas Party, the proceeds from which will benefit Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC) and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
In Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, which premieres Nov. 30 on Hallmark Channel, Donna plays the manager of Kansas City BBQ Restaurant Norma & Nic’s in a love story between Derrick (Tyler Hynes), the Chiefs’ Director of Fan Engagement, and Alana (Hunter King), a Chiefs superfan who becomes a finalist in the team’s “Fan of the Year” contest.
In the sweet announcement of her involvement in the film, King and Hynes introduce themselves before separating and revealing Donna.
Wearing a No. 87 jersey in honor of Travis, she declared, “Hi, I’m Donna Kelce and I’m in Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story…”
King jumped in to say, “On this Countdown to Christmas,” before Hynes concluded, “Only on Hallmark Channel.”
