A blockbuster trade proposal has a surprise NFC team setting the NFL on fireworks by acquiring Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

The 30-year-old Tyreek Hill has not indicated that he would like to be traded, and the Dolphins just handed him a three-year contract extension worth $90 million. Miami is in win-now mode, so it would take an astonishing offer for GM Chris Grier to give up his franchise player.

Miami is 2-3 and barely hanging around in a playoff spot as they await Tua Tagovailoa’s return. Tagovailoa is recovering from a concussion he suffered in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills, and there’s no timeline on when he’ll be cleared for football activities.

If the Dolphins fall out of the playoff race ahead of the Nov. 5 trade deadline, Grier has to at least listen to offers on Tyreek Hill. One such proposal has an NFC team rocking the NFL by making a move for the future Hall of Famer to bolster their offense.

Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon proposed a blockbuster trade idea that has Miami sending Hill to the NFC East-leading Washington Commanders for two early-round picks:

“Put simply, there’s no better time to aggressively build a roster than when a quarterback is on a rookie contract. Jayden Daniels—in a small sample—has performed like a franchise-changing QB, and the Commanders have plenty of cap space this season and beyond…

The vision of Hill storming down the field to catch a perfectly thrown pass from Daniels is enticing, too. It wouldn’t be cheap—both in dead money and the cost in the range of a first-round and third-round pick—but this absurd idea doubles as a really, really intriguing one.”

The Jayden Daniels-led Commanders have been one of the biggest surprises through the first six weeks of 2024. Star wideout Terry McLaurin is having another excellent season (29 catches, 356 yards, and four touchdowns), but Zach Ertz is a distant second with a 21-228-0 stat line.

If Washington wants to join the NFC heavyweight class with the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, and Minnesota Vikings, they’ll have to add another stud receiver. And who better than Tyreek Hill?

Tyreek Hill Could Be The Final Piece For Washington

The Commanders already have a dynamic offense led by Daniels, McLaurin, and the running back tandem of Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler. But adding a top-five receiver in Hill would instantly make Washington a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

So if Miami is entertaining offers for Hill, Washington GM Adam Peters has to at least call Grier and see if they can make a deal.
