Hip Hop legend and avid sports fan Snoop Dogg appeared on ESPN’s First Take on Friday and gave his analysis on the NFL’s quarterback picture.
While the NFL season is only seven weeks in, some of its brightest facilitators have returned from their breaks and are already showcasing their star power on the field.
Speaking to Stephen A. Smith and Cam Newton, Snoop named his top three quarterbacks this year.
‘You know Patrick Mahomes, cause he knows how to get it done,’ the rapper said when asked who he’d put over Texans star CJ Stroud. ‘Lamar Jackson is doing his thing.’
‘I ain’t putting Josh Allen [above Stroud],’ he added – wrapping up his top 3 list of Mahomes, Jackson and Stroud.

In a quest for a third straight title, Mahomes has looked phenomenal as the Chieds are 6-0 to start their threepeat quest. Mahomes has been efficient, completing 111 of 160 attempts for 1,235 and six touchdowns.
On the other hand, the reigning MVP in Jackson has spearheaded a four-game win streak for the Ravens after losing their first two games. While their record is far from flawless, Jackson impressively completed 118 of 176 attempts for 1,529 yards and ten touchdowns.
However, with the conversation revolving around Stroud, Snoop parlayed his selections with a bold Super Bowl prediction if the Texans were to meet the Chiefs in the playoffs.
‘If CJ beat Patrick Mahomes, he gonna win the chip,’ he proclaimed. ‘If you gonna knock off the Brady killer, you got to get the whole thing.’

Now in his second year in the NFL, the Ohio State standout has been impressive as the Texans are 5-1 to start the season.
Across six games, Stroud has completed 142 of 208 passes for 1,577 yards, and ten touchdowns.
‘You could run into Patrick Mahomes and win and then lose to Lamar Jackson,’ Smith responded.
Stroud will get a trial run of that sequence in December as he is slated to go up against the Chiefs on the 21st and the Ravens on Christmas Day.
Last season, Stroud led the Texans to their first postseason appearance since 2019. Houston would beat the Browns in the Wildcard before falling to Jackson and Baltimore in the Divisional playoffs.
