Dolphins star Tyreek Hill issues a warning to Davante Adams and Amari Cooper following recent trade.

Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill is never short on confidence in himself. But then, he’s never short in confidence in his team, either, and that was on display on Wednesday after Miami’s practice.

Hill was asked for his thoughts on two of the better veteran pass-catchers in the game–Davante Adams and Amari Cooper–joining Miami’s big AFC East rivals this week. Adams, of course, was dealt from the Raiders to the Jets, and Cooper was sent to the Bills from Cleveland.

That could be considered rough news for the 2-3 Dolphins. But Hill had a warning for the two: Sure, you’re good, but the Dolphins have one of the better cornerback tandems in the NFL, headed up by seven-time Pro Bowler Jalen Ramsey.

“I’m definitely happy for Davante (Adams) teaming back up with his old quarterback – I know that’s obviously where he wanted to be,” Hill told reporters on Wednesday. “And for Amari (Cooper), I think him and Josh Allen those two guys will play very well together, because Amari is still one of those guys that can get open.

“It’s going to be a good test for our DBs when we play them, but got Jalen Ramsey on our team – we straight.”

The Dolphins have played Buffalo once already, a 31-10 loss in Week 2, which saw quarterback Tua Tagovailoa go out with a concussion. They face the Bills again in Week 9. Miami gets the Jets in Weeks 14 and 18.

Hill, naturally, pointed out to reporters that there is no reason to be all that scared of Adams and Cooper, because the best WR resides in Miami. “They’re still not the best receiver in the league, because I am and I stand on that,” Hill said, laughing. “I want my momma to send me this and say, ‘You’re talking your trash today,’ because I am.”
