BREAKING: Bill Belichick Already Courting Cowboys Amid Mike McCarthy Disappointment..

Mike McCarthy’s seat is getting hotter by the week in Dallas.

The Dallas Cowboys are in the midst of a disappointing 3-3 start. Head coach Mike McCarthy, who already entered the season as a lame duck after Jerry Jones refused to give him a contract extension, is under heavy criticism from the fans and the media.

Jones is standing behind McCarthy for now as he revealed he has no intention of making a coaching change. If things continue to go poorly, however, he may not have a choice but to part ways with the 60-year-old head coach.

There is one name who is waiting for his phone to ring in case that happens. Bill Belichick, who is widely expected to be under serious consideration as the next Cowboys head coach, signaled on his SiriusXM show that he may be eyeing the position.

NFL Rumors: Bill Belichick Already Eyeing the Cowboys Job

Belichick was overly complimentary in his analysis of the job the Cowboys leadership has done. He said that Stephen and Jerry Jones tried to give “as many resources as they can”, implying that it’s not their fault that the team is struggling.

“Meanwhile, Stephen and Jerry Jones have shelled out a lot of money to some very high profile players and have tried to give the team as many resources as they can to win and just haven’t had good results.”

– Bill Belichick

Cowboys fans would obviously disagree with that sentiment. Even though Jerry Jones promised to go all-in this season, that hasn’t been the case. In fact, many would argue that the team got worse over the offseason as the team failed to adequately replace Dorance Armstrong, Stephon Gilmore, Tyron Smith, and Tony Pollard.

This can easily be interpreted as Belichick making it clear that he could do a better job in Dallas than McCarthy. Whether we will get to see that remains to be seen.
