Green Bay Packers fans are enjoying a trip down memory lane.
The New York Jets might be a mess, but Aaron Rodgers is still the greatest when it comes to throwing Hail Marys. He connected with former Packers teammate Allen Lazard for an unbelievable 52-yard touchdown as the first half ended on Monday Night Football. It may have saved the game for the Jets, who cut the Buffalo Bills’ lead to just three points.
Nobody throws a Hail Mary pass like Rodgers. He enjoyed many legendary moments with the Packers, and at least three of them were Hail Marys.
From his game-winner to Richard Rodgers in 2015 to his playoff completion to Jeff Janis in the divisional round a few months later, nobody does it better. Rodgers also hit Randall Cobb for a successful Hail Mary in the Packers’ playoff win over the New York Giants in 2016.
To steal a phrase from Jim Nantz, Rodgers had another vintage moment in him against the Bills on Monday Night Football.
Packers fans enjoyed Aaron Rodgers’ Hail Mary on Monday Night Football
Packers fans enjoyed the latest Rodgers Hail Mary. Nobody does it better than the four-time MVP.
And it’s not just Packers fans. Three-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes is wondering how Rodgers keeps doing this.
Unfortunately, Cheesehead TV’s Aaron Nagler has experienced plenty of Packers heartbreak over the years. And he’s got a point here. Somehow, someway, the refs will be determined to give the Seattle Seahawks a touchdown.
While the Jets’ season has been nothing short of a disaster up until this point, it’s cool to see vintage Rodgers. He might not be playing at an MVP level, but he can still make plays that nobody else in the league can.
And it just had to go to Allen Lazard.
What does it mean for the Jets’ chances of winning this game or their season as a whole? Probably not much, but it was still fun to watch Rodgers turn back the clock.
