Striker Gabriel Martinelli suffered a small muscle edema in his right calf and became a suspect in the match between Brazil and Peru on Tuesday. The match is valid for the 10th round of the Qualifiers, which will be played at 9:45 pm at the Mané Garrincha stadium in Brasília.
Martinelli complained of pain in training this Sunday. The results of the MRI scan carried out at night showed a small area of muscle edema in the area.
The striker will therefore have to undergo physiotherapy in order to be able to play. The Arsenal player trained with the reserves this Sunday.
During the operation, coach Dorival Júnior tested three changes in the team: Vanderson for Danilo; Bruno Guimarães, for André; and Gerson for Lucas Paquetá, who is suspended.
