Kayla Nicole has finally set the record straight about claims that Travis Kelce made her split the bill on dates during their relationship.

Nicole, who dated the Kansas City Chiefs star on and off for five years before his romance with Taylor Swift, addressed rumors that her ex-boyfriend was ‘cheap’ on WNBA star Angel Reese’s ‘Unapologetically Angel’ podcast.

But the influencer and broadcaster insisted there is absolutely no truth to them.

When Reese asked if that was the reason they broke up in 2022, Nicole replied: ‘Do I look like I would go 50-50 on bills?

‘So yeah, that was ridiculous. But he addressed that too though.

‘I don’t even know why that became a thing. That was never an issue in our relationship, but it was definitely a rumor on the internet.’

Kelce rubbished claims that he and Nicole – who admits she has since fallen out with Chiefs WAGs she used to be friends with after their split – went their separate ways because he made her pay her way, saying on The Pivot podcast back in January 2023: ‘How crazy is that? Don’t buy into that s**t!’

Since he separated from Kayla, Travis has of course gone on to form one of the most famous relationships on the planet with pop megastar Taylor.

The couple have dominated headlines since Swift publicly confirmed their romance in September 2023, and Nicole says she has had to deal with the backlash from her ‘crazy’ fans on social media.

‘I think the combination of everything is the perfect storm to make you want to disappear from the world entirely,’ she admitted to Reese.

‘Behind closed doors, the hardest part is losing a partner, a best friend, speaking every day to cutting ties. Then you throw in social media.

‘I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and online chaos didn’t impact me, even to this day. You could go to my most recent posts and people would be debating why I am worthless.

‘It is nothing to do with me. I think there is something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people, which is unfortunate because I don’t think I have done anything to warrant that kind of backlash.’

Reese also asked Nicole if she and Kelce would be ‘cool’ with each other if they ever crossed paths.

‘I’d probably like hit him with a head nod,’ she said. ‘That’s about it.

‘We’ve seen each other in public spaces but we are both aware of the nature of his situation that there’s just no room for us to communicate or acknowledge each other publicly. So we’d just keep it moving.’
