Dallas Cowboys, who had an unbeatable home game record until the 2023 playoffs, has recorded three consecutive home game defeats including the humiliating wild-card round last season. Including his name among the grievings, the owner Jerry Jones admitted being truly hurt by the home game losses.
Following the big losses, it has become a tradition for Jones to address the media and have his name printed on the headlines. This week 3 loss against the Baltimore Ravens surely falls into that category as the team lost by four points late in the fourth quarter.
When he addressed the media on Sunday, Jones admitted being hurt but also not hopeless about his team’s potential comeback.
Lately, fans have been losing faith in Dallas and it started when they crumbled against a seventh-seeded team in the playoff loss last season. This prompted quarterback Dak Prescott to taunt fans for quitting on the team in the tough times.
Even though the Cowboys couldn’t succeed, owner Jones was happy to see the near comeback his team pulled off in the fourth quarter by scoring 19 points. Though he believes the team still has a lot to improve, he mentioned that they gained some confidence after making the big plays of the fourth quarter.
Highlighting that, Jones indirectly urged fans to have faith in the Cowboys, believing they would cover up for the early weeks’ fiascos. Falling to a 1-2 record, the Cowboys are now headed for the upcoming game against the New York Giants in Week 4.
