Drake Maye is hoping to lead the New England Patriots to a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley as they look to get their season back on track
Drake Maye has a mammoth task ahead as he tries to halt the downward spiral at the New England Patriots.
The 22-year-old is the latest quarterback attempting to fill the void left by Tom Brady, who led the Patriots to six Super Bowl victories during his 20-year tenure. Since Brady’s departure, Patriots fans have endured four largely disappointing seasons, with this one potentially being the worst yet, having suffered five losses in their first six games.
Drake may have faced defeat last week, but with three touchdown passes in his first start, he’s convinced that this is just the beginning of his NFL triumphs.
“Having had my first start, I think I will get more confident as the week goes on. It will be a little different this week being overseas.
“It helps getting that first one last week. Now, going overseas to London to play, in front of a big crowd out there, it will pretty cool to see the NFL playing overseas. And we’ve got a chance to get a win.”
