Travis Kelce<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/span>\u00a0have hit back at ‘unfounded speculation’ that they are engaged after rumors started to pile up following a gaffe made by Monday Night Football commentator Troy Aikman.<\/p>\n

Aikman accidentally referred to Swift as Kelce’s ‘missus’ on the air, leading to speculation that the couple are now engaged after a year of dating.<\/p>\n

But a source close to the couple spoke to\u00a0TMZ\u00a0and threw cold water on the claims.<\/p>\n

‘It’s not true and the recent erratic and unfounded speculation on this couple is just proving that media and overzealous fans do not know what’s going on with them and shouldn’t make wild assumptions based on zero facts,’ the source told the outlet.<\/p>\n

That source added, ‘Two days ago everyone had decided they were broken up, not they’re allegedly secretly engaged? It’s whiplash inducing.’<\/p>\n

That follows so-called ‘unfounded speculation’ that grew after Monday Night Football color commentator Troy Aikman accidentally referred to Swift as Kelce’s ‘missus’ on the broadcast<\/p>\n

Aikman\u00a0initially recognized his slip-up on the air<\/span>, saying, ‘I’m sure I’m in trouble for saying that.’<\/p>\n

But on a Wednesday episode of the Barstool Sports podcast ‘Pardon My Take’, Aikman believes he may not have slipped up at all.<\/p>\n

‘I might have broken the story,’ Aikman said – revealing on the podcast that he had intel that Kelce ‘might’ have already popped the question.<\/p>\n

But if this source is to be believed, the longtime NFL color commentator was fed bad information.<\/p>\n

Swift\u00a0was back at Arrowhead Stadium for the game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday<\/span>, where she was spotted cheering on her man.<\/p>\n

Swift hailed the Chiefs’ ‘perfect’ win<\/span> to take their record to 5-0 as she partied in her VIP suite with other WAGs including Chariah Gordon.<\/p>\n

The singer appeared on the Instagram story of Chariah Gordon after the game – the partner of Kelce’s teammate Mecole Hardman.<\/p>\n

Swift appeared to be in Kelce’s suite – there was picture of her performing on her Era’s Tour in the background – and she was asked by Gordon what she thought of the victory.<\/p>\n

After the game, Swift and Kelce\u00a0were spotted locking lips<\/span>\u00a0before they eventually\u00a0spent the night out on the town celebrating Travis’s birthday<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The following day, Kelce and Swift\u00a0were spotted jetting out of Kansas City<\/span>\u00a0for the East Coast as the Chiefs are on their bye week.<\/p>\n

While it’s not clear what the couple will be up to, Travis did provide a hint on the latest episode of his ‘New Heights’ podcast alongside his brother, Jason Kelce.<\/p>\n

‘You got any bye week plans?’ Jason asked. ‘Of course I do,’ Travis quickly replied.<\/p>\n

‘You gonna tell anybody?’ Jason asked. ‘No,’ Travis said. ‘But if any of it comes out [in the media], I’m sure we’ll talk about it on the show.’<\/p>\n

Swift has only a little more down time before she kicks off the concluding leg of her ‘Eras Tour’ which has spanned the globe. She takes the first of her final five stops on October 18 in Miami.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
