He felt that the NBA legend earned the right to use his hold and power to\u00a0get his son on his team.<\/p>\n<p>Smith even cited the example of the Golden State Warriors not drafting\u00a0Bronny James\u00a0out of respect for\u00a0LeBron James\u2018 wishes. While he knows that James Jr. must\u00a0put in a lot of work to prove the naysayers wrong, he believes critics should not target LeBron for nepotism.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-shannon-sharpe-adds-in-to-support-lebron-james\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shannon Sharpe adds in to support LeBron James<\/h2>\n<p>When Stephen A. Smith finished giving his analogy, co-panelist\u00a0Shannon Sharpe\u00a0raised his hand to add his views on the matter. He said that this has been common in the NBA across various levels over the years.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\">\n<blockquote><p><em>We see it all the time in coaching. We see it all the time in front offices. Now all of a sudden for the first time in NBA history, \u2018Oh man it\u2019s nepotism!\u2019 Half the corporations is nepotism.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><cite>Shannon Sharpe said<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>For instance, in coaching or the front office, nepotism is rampant. Sharpe talked about several top coaches and executives bringing in their family members into roles and giving them a jumpstart over others. The NFL Hall of Famer pointed out that corporations also do the same and that no one talks about it.<\/p>\n<div class=\"single-post\">\n<section class=\"section-intro\">\n<div class=\"selfie-and-desc\">\n<div class=\"desc\">\n<p>He opined that Bronny James and his father\u00a0doing it on the world stage\u00a0is the reason why they got singled out.
