The court and uniform, presented by bibigo, will debut in arena Nov. 21 at the Lakers home game versus the Orlando Magic.<\/p>\n<p>This season\u2019s City Edition design is inspired by the team\u2019s storied reputation as a franchise that does more than win. The Lakers win with style. The \u201cCalifornia Destiny\u201d progresses the story to recognize what the team has become: a combination of elite basketball IQ and electrifying presentation.<\/p>\n<p>Introducing the first color progression on a Lakers uniform, the reflected gradient from black to purple represents the team\u2019s 65-year evolution in Los Angeles. The trim lining the uniform transitions through various shades of purple with each player\u2019s uniform featuring its own distinct gradient trim.<\/p>\n<p>The drop shadow detail on the Lakers\u2019 current uniform is paired with jersey numbers mirroring the same style from 1999-2017, a period that saw the Lakers win five championships. This is the first alternate court for the Lakers beyond last year\u2019s NBA Cup court developed by the NBA.<\/p>\n<p>The City Edition uniform is one of several uniforms the Los Angeles Lakers will wear on court this season, including the Icon Edition in Gold, Statement Edition in Purple and Association Edition in White.
