Patrick Mahomes\u00a0and the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0improved to 5-0 after a 26-13 home win over the\u00a0New Orleans Saints\u00a0on “Monday Night Football.”<\/p>\n

The victory pulled them even with the\u00a0Minnesota Vikings\u00a0as the\u00a0NFL’s two remaining undefeated teams in 2024.<\/p>\n

Mahomes finished the game having completed 28-of-39 passes for a season-high 331 yards and an interception and has only thrown six touchdowns through five games.<\/p>\n

With just over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Mahomes instead showed off what he can do with his legs. The 29-year-old superstar quarterback scrambled to his left and went airborne with a head-first dive to pick up an important first down on third-and-9.<\/p>\n

The highlight reel effort continued an 11-play drive that milked over six minutes off the clock and ended in a field goal, extending the Chiefs’ lead to 13 points.<\/p>\n

The NFL’s official X account posted a slow-motion replay video of the scramble, which drew the attention of\u00a0Jason Kelce, who immediately gave the three-time\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0champion a new two-word nickname.<\/p>\n

“Air Mahomes,” Kelce commented two minutes later.<\/p>\n
