KANSAS City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has an unusual locker room rule, according to one of his star players.<\/p>\n

The mandate also has to be followed by\u00a0Chiefs\u00a0superstars\u00a0Patrick Mahomes\u00a0and\u00a0Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n

This week, the three-time\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0champion Kansas City defensive tackle Chris Jones appeared on The Rich Eisen Show.<\/p>\n

The sports personality Eisen asked Jones if he has ever scolded a teammate.<\/p>\n

Jones instead explained that he has taught younger players how to abide by the team’s unwritten rules in the past.<\/p>\n

However, he admitted that the Chiefs head coach Reid has a rule in which players can’t wear black cleats in the locker room.<\/p>\n

“We have talks,” Jones said. “Usually younger guys trying to figure out how to do things, mostly just showing them the way, showing them how it’s usually done here… or a new guy coming on the team and not understanding how this organization operates.<\/p>\n

“Like, something as simple as we don’t wear black cleats.<\/p>\n

“It’s simple, but this organization has these little things that we follow by that sometimes players don’t know.”<\/p>\n

Eisen then asked Jones why the Kansas City players can’t wear black cleats.<\/p>\n

“Listen, I don’t know… I just work here! I don’t make the rules,” the five-time Pro Bowler answered.<\/p>\n

Jones’ teammate Mahomes joked last month that black cleats played a part in the Ravens’ loss to the Chiefs in the season-opener at Arrowhead Stadium.<\/p>\n
