After vowing to be \u201call-in\u201d on the 2024 season, only to largely spend free agency and the offseason as spectators, Jerry Jones have the ammunition and the need to pull off a blockbuster trade as the NFL trade deadline barrels closer.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the Cowboys\u00a0make a lot of sense as a destination for All-Pro playmaking wide receiver Davante Adams, there may be a more pressing need Dallas should target in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Could the Dallas Cowboys Trade For Haason Reddick?<\/h2>\n

Given that Micah Parsons could miss significant time, and Demarcus Lawrence is headed for injured reserve, the Cowboys are facing a crisis along the front-seven.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s a big reason why ESPN NFL Insider Dan Graziano suggests the Cowboys should explore the option of trading for New York Jets pass rusher Haason Reddick.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt wouldn\u2019t fit with anything we know about them and the way they operate,\u201d\u00a0Graziano writes for ESPN. \u201cBut I think the Cowboys should be looking for running backs and defensive front-seven players. They should be in the Haason Reddick market, for example (though again, I would be shocked if they actually were). Playing without defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence for a month or two is going to hurt them, especially if edge rusher Micah Parsons\u2019 absence is also an extended one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reddick could be an immediate upgrade at a premium position that is currently reeling for the Cowboys.<\/p>\n

The Jets may be easily convinced to move on from Reddick, who is embroiled in a contract stalemate dating back to his arrival via a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles back in March, and has yet to step foot into the team\u2019s Florham Park, NJ facility.<\/p>\n

Reddick, 30, has produced 58 career sacks with 410 total tackles, and is two years removed from playing a vital role in the Philadelphia Eagles advancing to the Super Bowl.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Cowboys rarely make in-season trades, let alone blockbusters, but, this is a move Jones and Dallas may need to consider in order to keep the season afloat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
