Travis Kelce<\/span>\u00a0is set to follow\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/span>\u00a0in endorsing\u00a0Kamala Harris<\/span>\u00a0as the next President of the United States, according to a source who spoke to DailyMail.com.<\/p>\n

After Swift confirmed on Tuesday night that she is voting for Harris over\u00a0Donald Trump<\/span>\u00a0in this year’s Presidential election, Kelce is poised to announce that he will be doing the same come November.<\/p>\n

An insider claimed the\u00a0Kansas<\/span>\u00a0City Chiefs superstar is proud of his girlfriend for throwing her support behind Harris and ‘understood the assignment’ after she did so.<\/p>\n

\u2018Travis will definitely be endorsing Kamala and will be doing it very soon \u2013 perhaps within the next day or so,’ a source close to Kelce told DailyMail.com. ‘After Taylor revealed her endorsement for Kamala, Travis knew what he had to do. He understood the assignment.<\/p>\n

‘He was very proud of Taylor for finally speaking out and he supports her in everything she does, this will be no different. They share the same beliefs and ideals and goals, and this is one of them.<\/p>\n

Swift, Kelce’s girlfriend of the last year, confirmed Tuesday night that she is voting for Harris<\/p>\n

‘Together they both know that they can make a greater impact on fans and voters than either one of them alone.\u2019<\/p>\n

DailyMail.com has reached out the Kelce’s representatives for comment.<\/p>\n

Swift’s support for Harris is no surprise given she has previously aligned herself with the Democrats and taken a number of shots at Republican leader Trump in the past.<\/p>\n

The songstress wrote on Twitter (now X) ahead of the 2020 election, which Trump lost to Joe Biden: ‘After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? \u2018When the looting starts the shooting starts\u2019???<\/p>\n

‘We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump’.<\/p>\n

Kelce, meanwhile, has never publicly declared an affiliation with any political party.<\/p>\n

However, back in April many suggested the NFL legend indicated that he is a Trump supporter after liking a photo of him at a UFC event.<\/p>\n

Trump shared a photo of Kelce’s like on a picture of him meeting ex-ESPN anchor Sage Steele<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kelce caused consternation among Swift’s fans last week when it emerged he liked the photo of the former President and ex-ESPN anchor Sage Steele meeting at UFC 299 in Miami in March.<\/p>\n

Trump then fueled further speculation about his political leanings by sharing a picture of Kelce’s like on his own platform, Truth Social.<\/p>\n

Alongside the picture, the post added: ‘Travis Kelce, NFL star tight end and boyfriend of Taylor Swift, is causing controversy after liking a post of ESPN former reporter Sage Steele and Donald Trump at a UFC event.<\/p>\n

‘I think everyone, even celebrities, are finally waking up and supporting the MAGA movement. Have liberals finally gone so far left that everyone is leaving?’<\/p>\n

After visiting Joe Biden at the White House in May to celebrate the Chiefs’ second straight Super Bowl win, Kelce also suggested he would also do so if Trump was in power by saying on his New Heights podcast: ‘Any time I get a chance to be recognized by the President of the United States and get to go with my teammates and a group of men and women who I had success with to the point we get acknowledged… I’m doing it every time no matter who’s up there at the helm.<\/p>\n
