It appears as though the\u00a0Miami Dolphins\u00a0will not have a fourth different starting quarterback for their fourth game in a row.<\/p>\n
Mike McDaniel announced during his press conference on Tuesday that Tyler Huntley will get the nod again under center on Sunday against the\u00a0New England Patriots\u00a0up in Foxboro, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs it stands right now, the injury that he sustained, it\u2019s been kind of (laborious) getting back so we\u2019re planning on going with Tyler (Huntley) and I think after reviewing the tape, there\u2019s reasons for guys to be excited about that because while the output wasn\u2019t nearly what we wanted offensively, there were some things to build upon that we\u2019ll keep working through and excited to do that tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n
McDaniel’s comments on the injury recovery are about Skylar Thompson, who continues to recover from a ribs injury he sustained in the Dolphins’ 24-3 loss to the\u00a0Seattle Seahawks.<\/p>\n
With Thompson still less than 100%, the choice really isn’t all that tough of one for McDaniel.\u00a0It’s pretty much Huntley or Tim Boyle, and the former surely gives them a better chance to win.<\/p>\n
Huntley also did some things decently well during the game.\u00a0 Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle each had costly drops to derail drives.\u00a0 The play calling was also quite questionable, with the Dolphins refusing to even try the middle of hte field in the passing game for an extended stretch.\u00a0 Perhaps some of that had to do with a limited playbook and amount of trust they had for Huntley on Monday night.<\/p>\n
Regardless, coaching staff, Huntley, and the rest of the offense are going to have to find a way to get in sync this week, as the Dolphins are in danger of falling into the basement of the AFC East by themselves if they can’t do better on Sunday than they did on Monday night.<\/p>\n
