The Miami Dolphins are planning to have wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. practice with the team for the first time this week,\u00a0according to NFL Network\u2019s Tom Pelissero.<\/p>\n

Beckham, 31, has been on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list since the start of training camp due to an undisclosed offseason procedure that he underwent before signing with the Dolphins in May. While the receiver wanted to be activated from the list before the start of the regular season, Dolphins brass went\u00a0against Beckham\u2019s wishes\u00a0and kept him on the PUP list at the end of August.<\/p>\n

That decision meant Beckham had to stay on the PUP list for the first four weeks of the season. After the Dolphins\u2019 Monday night game against the Tennessee Titans, the veteran receiver will be eligible to make his 2024 debut, although immediate contributions may be a stretch considering he\u2019s still never practiced with the squad.<\/p>\n

When the Dolphins open Beckham\u2019s practice window, he won\u2019t count against their 53-man roster limit for as many as 21 days. At any point in time during that three-week window, Beckham can be moved to the active roster and he\u2019ll be available to play on game days.<\/p>\n

Beckham signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Dolphins that includes\u00a0$5.25 million in potential incentives. However, he won\u2019t collect any of those bonuses if he can\u2019t eclipse the numbers he put up with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
