While there have been rumors about edge rusher Haason Reddick returning to Philadelphia – errant rumors, it seems – GM Howie Roseman is always on the hunt for talent. So …<\/p>\n

FanSided.com\u00a0released an article suggesting Philadelphia would be a great landing spot for hometown guy, Micah Parsons of the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n

“Jerry Jones made a big show of dragging out contract negotiations with Dak Prescott and\u00a0CeeDee Lamb\u00a0this summer,”\u00a0FanSided said.\u00a0“Why would it be any different with Parsons? He should get the contract of a lifetime, but if Dallas wets the proverbial bed, another team will gladly swoop in with a historic offer.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Wets the bed”<\/em>? OK …<\/p>\n

“That team could, in theory, be\u00a0the Eagles,\u201d FanSided continued. \u201cForget about the mutual disdain for a second; Parsons was born in Harrisburg, PA, and went to school at\u00a0Penn State. … If the Cowboys get too cute with negotiations, there’s nothing stopping Parsons from going home in a couple of years.”<\/p>\n

Fun stuff. Unfortunately for the Eagles, it’s all baloney.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys have long planned to sign Dak and Lamb. And they did so. They also plan next offseason to sign Micah, and have budgeted to do so. Will Parsons stage a holdout, like Lamb did? Quite possibly.<\/p>\n

But …\u00a0Parsons is under contract for 2025, as his fifth-year option will bump him up to $21.324 million. Dallas could use the franchise tag after that – multiple times, starting at maybe $27 million for 2026.<\/p>\n

While a fantasy trade is always possible, FanSided doesn’t seem to understand Dallas plan here … at all,<\/p>\n

Additionally, while fans in Pennsylvania see a connection here for Parsons to “come home,” he doesn’t see it that way. … at all.<\/p>\n
