Bitar proposed a trade that would see the Lakers receive Herro for\u00a0D\u2019Angelo Russell,\u00a0Rui Hachimura and first-round picks in 2029 and 2031.<\/p>\n
This feels like a neither here nor there kind of move for the Heat.<\/p>\n
Admittedly, Herro’s name has been brought up in numerous hypothetical trade proposals in recent months. Trading him would make sense if the Heat were bringing in win-now talent to team with\u00a0Bam Adebayo\u00a0and\u00a0Jimmy Butler.<\/p>\n
Would a return of Russell, Hachimura and two draft picks represent that? The simple answer is no.<\/p>\n
If the Heat are already planning for life after Jimmy Butler then it makes sense for them to stick with Herro.<\/p>\n
