The Miami-Dade police officer who was shown grabbing\u00a0Tyreek Hill\u00a0from his car, forcing him to the ground, and placing him in handcuffs was the recipient of a donation nearly amounting to $25,000 a few years ago.<\/p>\n

Hill was the talk of the sports world after his brush with the law on Sunday, with the\u00a0Miami Dolphins\u00a0wide receiver stopped and detained by police while trying to get to Hard Rock Stadium for his team\u2019s opening game against the\u00a0Jacksonville Jaguars.<\/p>\n

Bodycam footage showed a particularly aggressive officer, who has since been identified as Danny Torres, manhandling the Pro Bowler after he rolled his window up while another officer was speaking to him.<\/p>\n

Torres is understood to have been placed on administrative leave after the incident, though it\u2019s also been reported that he\u2019s resumed working and is being kept on desk duty.<\/p>\n
