The Dallas Cowboys are looking to bounce back in week three against the Baltimore Ravens.\u00a0 Dallas started the season off great with a dominant win over the Cleveland Browns.\u00a0 However, they were humbled in week two after getting blown out by the New Orleans Saints in front of their own fans.<\/p>\n

Now, they\u2019re dealing with a veteran starter making some pretty intense claims.<\/span><\/p>\n

There was a lot of drama in the Dallas Cowboys offseason, and it appears that this is continuing into the regular season. With an injured wrist, Dallas placed veteran defensive tackle Jordan Phillips on Injured Reserve.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

A normal transaction like this means the player will miss at least four games. Phillips claims he is not injured, which is a problem:<\/span><\/p>\n

It is what it is. He has to accept the decision of the organization.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to journalist\u00a0Jonathan Owens:<\/p>\n

Dallas used the spot created by Phillips\u2019 move to injured reserve to poach defensive tackle\u00a0Carlos Watkins\u00a0from the Washington Commanders practice squad. If this was the case, why wouldn\u2019t Dallas simply release Phillips to create the spot permanently rather than using the Injured Reserve as a temporary solution?<\/p>\n

The Cowboys may be reluctant to move on from Phillips so quickly since the franchise just acquired the defender via a trade with the\u00a0New York Giants\u00a0in August. Dallas still owes New York a future draft pick as part of the deal for Phillips.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrade updates: With Jordan Phillips on 46-man for 2 games, the Cowboys give up their 6th round pick in \u201926 to Giants and get NY\u2019s 7th round pick in \u201926,\u201d\u00a0ESPN\u2019s Todd Archer\u00a0said on X on September 17. \u201cWith Peyton Hendershot released by KC, Chiefs will keep \u201926 7th round pick since he was not on 53 for 5 games or 46 for 3.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
