Reddick has yet to step into the franchise\u2019s Florham Park facility since being traded to the Jets by the\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0back in March, and has now forfeited three game checks amid his contentious holdout in search of a new contract extension.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Week 3 of the NFL season gets underway, ESPN NFL Insider Dan Graziano Suggests that it now appears more likely that the Jets will trade Reddick than it is the team will sign the 29-year-old with 58 career sacks to a lucrative long-term deal to end this standoff.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a very real possibility that two years removed from appearing in the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles that Reddick could wind up landing with a Super Bowl favorite in coming weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n

General manager John Lynch and the 49ers have been among the more aggressive teams at the deadline in recent years, and showed last season by acquiring former top-five back Chase Young, that San Francisco isn\u2019t afraid to take a chance when it comes to bolstering the pass rush.<\/span><\/p>\n

Graziano suggests the 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears as possible Reddick destinations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Jets need to figure out a solution,\u201d\u00a0Graziano writes for ESPN. \u201cThey can either give Reddick a deal that gets him into the building, or they can move on from the situation and acquire an asset or two that would help them get a player who can impact the edge rush. The latter solution feels more likely at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adding Reddick opposite Nick Bosa could form one of the more dominant pass rush duos in the sport, while upgrading the talent on an already championship-caliber defense.<\/p>\n

Even though Reddick may be viewed as a luxury to a roster like San Francisco\u2019s, Lynch and the 49ers\u2019 aggressiveness and desire to capture a Super Bowl before needing to sign quarterback Brock Purdy to a top-of-market extension may lead to them aggressively pursuing Reddick in the coming weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n
