{"id":2452,"date":"2024-09-20T08:49:01","date_gmt":"2024-09-20T08:49:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportnews.drinkfood.info\/?p=2452"},"modified":"2024-09-20T08:49:01","modified_gmt":"2024-09-20T08:49:01","slug":"taylor-swift-does-surprisingly-well-in-poll-against-trump-and-harris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportnews.drinkfood.info\/?p=2452","title":{"rendered":"Taylor Swift Does Surprisingly Well in Poll Against Trump and Harris!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.yimg.com\/ny\/api\/res\/1.2\/_wZLaM6J9vU8i9ChvyDDIg--\/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTIzNDA7aD0xMzE2O2NmPXdlYnA-\/https:\/\/media.zenfs.com\/en\/thedailybeast.com\/c9334d2f79986e0ed60f0f84efc9c4b0\" alt=\"Reuters\/Getty\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Taylor Swift\u00a0could give both\u00a0Donald Trump\u00a0and\u00a0Kamala Harris\u00a0a run for their money if she threw her \u201c22\u201d hat into the White House race,\u00a0according to a\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>\u00a0presidential\u00a0poll.<\/p>\n<p>The pop phenom came out with a 44 percent \u201cfavorability rating\u201d among likely voters across the country, falling just short of Trump\u2019s 47 percent and the 48 percent who favor Harris.<\/p>\n<p>But 34 percent had unfavorable views of Swift, which is much better than the results for Trump, with a 51 percent unfavorability rating, and Harris with 49 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Not surprisingly, given Swift\u2019s ringing endorsement of Harris following the presidential debate, a big chunk of her support came from Democrats, with 70 percent viewing her favorably, compared to 23 percent of Republicans.<\/p>\n<div class=\"instagram-media-wrapper caas-loaded\" data-embed-anchor=\"78b39f26-fa26-5a4a-9333-0512e4c4e912\" data-caas-lazy-loading-init=\"1\"><iframe class=\"caas-iframe-instagram\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C_wtAOKOW1z\/embed\/captioned?cr=1&amp;v=12\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Just 11 percent of Democrats looked at her unfavorably, while 60 percent of Republicans were clearly not fans.<\/p>\n<p>Swift also did well with independents, with 41 percent viewing her favorably and 32 percent unfavorably.<\/p>\n<p>The<em>\u00a0New York Times<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Philadelphia Inquirer<\/em>, and Siena College poll was conducted between Sept. 11 to 16, before the debate and Swift going public with her backing of Harris.<\/p>\n<p>The pop star wrote on Instagram that she was lining up behind the Democratic nominee because \u201cshe fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The endorsement did not go down well with Trump, who wrote in a Truth Social post over the weekend: \u201cI HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump Declares His Hatred for Taylor Swift in Wild Truth Social Post<\/p>\n<p>There was one category,\u00a0<em>The New York Times<\/em>\u00a0reported, that didn\u2019t know who Swift was or didn\u2019t much care.
