Dak Prescott<\/strong>\u00a0and the Dallas Cowboys faced a reality check after the New Orleans Saints humbled them 44-19 on home turf. Two interceptions in either half sealed the Cowboys\u2019 fate immediately.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys were -6.5\u00a0favorites going into their second game\u00a0of the season after their comfortable win over the Cleveland Browns in week 1. The Saints brought them down back to earth after quarterback\u00a0Derek Carr<\/strong>\u00a0contributed two touchdowns in the first quarter.<\/p>\n

Carr found\u00a0Alvin Kamara<\/strong>\u00a0for a 5-yard rushing touchdown and then lobbed a massive 70-yard pass to\u00a0Rasheed Shaheed<\/strong>. Kamara and Carr linked up again in the second quarter\u2014first for a 57-yard pass and then a 12-yard rushing touchdown from the Pro Bowler.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys, in the meantime, could only conjure up only 1 touchdown to\u00a0CeeDee Lamb<\/strong>\u00a0for 65 yards besides Prescott\u2019s couple of turnovers. It was a day when both the offense and the defense fell flat, even though the majority viewed the game as a relative cakewalk.<\/p>\n

Dak Prescott\u00a0ended the game with 27\/39 for 293 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 INTs. In the post-game presser, the\u00a0highest-earning football player in history\u00a0highlighted the hype that was created in the media after the win in the previous week, which might have misled fans into believing the Cowboys would dominate the Saints.<\/p>\n
