The Boston Red Sox roster figures to undergo massive changes this winter.<\/p>\n

Besides Boston\u2019s pitching rotation and bullpen in need of a complete makeover, the Red Sox also have\u00a0overcrowded middle infield depth\u00a0to sort through.<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s the outfield, which also presents difficult personnel questions for chief baseball officer Craig Breslow.<\/p>\n

Will superstar prospect Roman Anthony be in the lineup on opening day? Recent performance suggests Anthony will be, which could push a good player like Tyler O\u2019Neill out of the picture in Boston.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neill is a free agent after the season, and FanSided\u2019s Katie Manganelli recently\u00a0made the deduction\u00a0that he won\u2019t be retiring to the Red Sox in 205.<\/p>\n

\u201cTyler O’Neill is an impending free agent and he’ll be highly coveted in a market low on impact bats,\u201d Manganelli said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe outfielder posted a rebound season in Boston and had better success at the plate than he’s had since 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n
