Just days before\u00a0Liam\u00a0Payne<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0passing, his girlfriend\u00a0Kate Cassidy<\/strong>\u00a0abruptly departed Buenos Aires, where the couple had been spending time together.<\/p>\n

It turns out that they were supposed to spend only five days in the Argentinian capital but exceeded the proposed duration as they ended up spending two weeks.<\/p>\n

Liam Payne died yesterday after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n

The \u201cStrip That Down\u201d singer\u2019s girlfriend, Cassidy, made a hasty exit from Argentina before his fatal fall from the balcony of his hotel.<\/p>\n

Payne and Cassidy reportedly arrived in Argentina earlier this month for his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan\u2019s concert. They were supposed to stay for just five days but ended up spending two weeks.<\/p>\n

She seemingly got homesick and decided to leave on October 14, two days before her boyfriend died.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was so ready to leave,\u201d Cassidy shared in a TikTok video. \u201cHonestly, love South America but I hate staying in one place for too long. And we were supposed to be there for, like, five days, turned into two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

She noted that she was so bent on going home because she \u201cwas just like, \u2018I need to go home,\u2019\u201d especially as she developed a \u201cweird rash\u201d before her flight due to her \u201canxiety.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was so happy to be home,\u201d she added on the clip. \u201cIt was so relieving.\u201d<\/p>\n

On her\u00a0Instagram\u00a0page, Cassidy has been facing a barrage of questions from fans about Payne\u2019s fall.<\/p>\n

One person wrote, \u201cWhy would you [leave] him alone\u2026 doesn\u2019t make sense,\u201d while another said, \u201cWhy didn\u2019t you help him stay\/get sober though!!?\u201d<\/p>\n

However, several others slammed the insensitive remarks, noting that Cassidy needs support as she grieves the loss of her boyfriend.<\/p>\n

A fan noted, \u201cThese comments are brutal you guys can do better than this. Just stop. She just lost her partner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another person said, \u201c[These] comments aren\u2019t it. Let the woman grieve the loss of her boyfriend instead of you all hounding her with stupid comments.\u201d<\/p>\n

It comes as Payne passed away yesterday after falling from the balcony of his hotel room. Reports say he suffered extreme damage to his body, including a fractured skull, after landing on a patio close to the hotel\u2019s swimming pool and had already died when paramedics got to the scene.<\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0Daily Mail<\/em>, the head of Buenos Aires emergency services, Alberto Crescenti, disclosed that Payne had a \u201ccranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also told TN television that Payne was dead when paramedics arrived at 5 pm local time, adding, \u201cOur role was to head there quickly, give medical attention, and try to resuscitate him, but his injuries were incompatible with life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer\u2019s identity was reportedly confirmed via his passport, but cops are yet to arrive at a conclusive reason for his fall. His body has since been transported to a local morgue, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted.<\/p>\n

Before his fall in Argentina, the singer was allegedly under the influence as the hotel receptionist told emergency service that he was \u201coff his head on drugs,\u201d per the\u00a0Daily Mail<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Payne was reportedly acting erratic before he was escorted back to his room.<\/p>\n

The hotel staff made two calls to 911 emergency service, seeking \u201curgent\u201d help for him.<\/p>\n

In the first call, the staff who later identified himself as Esteban, said, \u201cWe have a guest who\u2019s off his head on drugs and is destroying everything in his room. We need someone to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then called back after the call went off, saying, \u201c\u2018I don\u2019t know if the guest\u2019s life is in danger. The room has a balcony, and we are afraid he might do something,\u201d after which he told the emergency officer to \u201cjust send an ambulance, only an ambulance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Local media reports that Payne was \u201cacting erratically in the hotel lobby and smashed his laptop\u201d before he \u201chad to be carried back to his room.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Payne\u2019s ex-fianc\u00e9e, Maya Henry, disclosed that he\u2019d always thought he\u2019d die early and that she took on the responsibility of looking out for him when they were still together.<\/p>\n

She made the chilling revelation in a recent appearance on \u201cThe Internet is Dead podcast,\u201d claiming he\u2019d often \u201cplayed with death.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was one time I tried to get him help, but he was not taking it,\u201d she said. \u201cHe would always message me after we broke up, he would say, \u2018I\u2019m not well.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cHe would always play with death, and be like \u2018Well I\u2019m going to die, I\u2019m not doing well.\u2019 I know the lifestyle that he lives and there is a day that something is going to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I would always be like, OK, he\u2019s saying these things, I am going to have to help him because I am not going to be able to live with myself if something happens to him,\u201d Henry added.<\/p>\n
